Synopsis:
If this were a shot, it'd be 1 part Amityville Horror, 1 part Poltergeist, 1 part Paranormal Activity and a couple splashes of The Ring on top.

Review:
Three British paranormal investigators (an oldish dude, a Ryan Stiles-lookalike, and a late 20s chick who never moved past her high school goth phase) are called into a remote farm house because the family's been driven out by a spirit, presence, something, who cares. The first third of the film is predictably build-uppy and boring except for the one or two times goth chick sees the ghost. Shit gets predictably upped in the second act after their surveillance clues them into the ideal time (3am) to watch and interact with the thing. This naturally makes shit even worse and the trio of 'tards begins to brainstorm ideas on how to expel or destroy the fucker. Goth chick votes for a proper cleansing ceremony with candles, incense, chanting, and every other trapping of wiccan bullshit under the goddess's moon. Oldish dude wants to use infrasound to disperse the particles of matter he theorizes the entity must be made from.

I've covered the first three ingredients, but where, you ask, is The Ring? Much in the same way a band walks off a stage after a full set and comes out for a 15-minute encore two minutes later, this flick "ends", then spends another few scenes resolving a lame-ass twist which should remind you of the last sequence in that American rip-off.

Verdict:
Script has a decent moment or two but they're all wasted. Maybe worth one viewing.
