Knucklebones

I believe I heard about this indy horror from the Flickering Myth podcast so I grabbed it for my flight back from the Carolinas.
A girl gets dumped by her boyfriend so she tries to commit suicide. To cheer her up, her friends take her to a haunted plant where a lot of people died 40 years ago. There they find out how to summon Knucklebones and, being teenagers, they do it.
Knucklebones is the name of a demon who, when summoned, comes to kill everyone. He's unkillable and can basically make his own rules for his limitations (he has none). So how do you stop him, you might be thinking... Well, there is a way, but it's really, really difficult and ridiculous, which leads to one of the most amazingly stupid and brilliant scenes in horror movie history.
There are some cute girls, a decent kill or two, some nudity, really bad acting, bad direction, bad dialogue, bad makeup for the demon, and a dumb story, but it's not the worst horror I've ever seen. That one scene is the stuff of legend. One of those moments where you'll be laughing and will want others to see it just you can talk about how over the top ridiculous it was.
Better than all the "found footage" bullshit, but this is an indy film with indy "actors". Unless you're a die hard horror fan, skip it. If you are a die hard horror fan, see it and let's talk about that scene.
