We don't have primary source material from Jesus, Zoroaster, Abraham, etc. that explicitly says the same thing. Yes, it's because the faithful probably destroyed those documents, if they ever existed, and also there's the thousands of years of translation, censorship, blah blah blah, to contend with, and Scientology is modern.
