Mark Duplass (Pete from The League) made an indy horror, that started as an indy comedy..., with his real life friend Patrick Brice. They're the only two people in the movie.
Mark (Josef) hires Patrick (Aaron) via Craigslist to come film his dying days for his son. All footage is seen through his camera.
It's hard to carry a film with only two people, and they don't really succeed here. The original Blair With Project comes to mind due to the long, nothing happens at all, build to the conclusion of the film. So take that however you want.
From what I understand this is the first of a trilogy.
Safety Not Guaranteed is far, far superior indy film featuring Duplass. Go watch that instead of this.
Also, while not in the credits, I'm pretty sure the girl on the phone is Jenny from The League, Mark's real life wife. Oh, and that call is the biggest plot hole in the movie.
Spoiler:
It's revealed at the end of the film that "Josef" is using fake names when hiring the videographers (as he tells his next victim that his name is Bill). However, when his sister calls, she calls him Josef. It's unlikely that he would have used his real name with Aaron.
