The subtitle of this film is apparently "The Rise of Reeker". I guess three years prior to this film another movie called "Reeker" was made that has the same plot as this film.
There's a strong possibility that I've seen this film previously. So many things seemed familiar, while others were brand new. I know I never saw Reeker, so I'm not sure if I watched this while gaming and barely paid attention or something?
Anyway, a bunch of strangers including two cops and casino robbers end up at a diner/hotel/gas station in the middle of the desert. Stuff happens, and then it's discovered that they're all being hunted.
The concept the film revolves around is very interesting. It'd be interesting to see it taken further because I have more questions like: But what if X survived?
It's a horror film, but not really. I'd call it more of a thriller with gore. In fact, the baddie kind of disappears until late in the second half of the film. Dialogue and character motivations are horrendous.
Still, it's an interesting enough concept that I'd recommend seeing it for free once.
