The Defenders (in this version) are: Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones.
However, was it my imagination or does that trailer show stolen letters from 6 logos? Keep in mind one person who has a show and could join them is The Punisher.
Marvel has a lot of other heroes in New York where this is all set...

The first E and the N don't look all that logo-ish and could be bits from the background texts to fill in those gaps.
Still gotta watch Luke Cage... and maybe Iron First (although I've heard it's terrible) to be caught up.

Luge Cage is solid. Very "black" tone without being racist, which is a breath of fresh air. It does get slightly weaker as the season goes on, but it's the second best Netflix/Marvel series.
Iron Fist pretty much does suck. The showrunner was an incompetent boob, so hopefully season 2 will be better.

Burned through these yesterday and while working from home today. Only 8 episodes in this season. (And that's how many episodes each of these series should really be, not 13 or whatever.)
Not phenomenal, but decent. It ties up plot threads left dangling from the various shows, while allowing for fresh starts for their next seasons. It also gives them a built in excuse for cameos. I REALLY, REALLY hope Iron Fist and Power Man become a team up show.
Good fight scenes. The plot is a bit muddled, but I think that's always the case when your story involves mysticism. The acting is fine, although the villains are the better group of actors. Dialogue was ok too, and they add the occasional zinger between heroes, which is cool.
Every character gets a chance to shine too. Nobody is forgotten or ignored. They even dig up most of the major background players from each character's show.
No Punisher cameo, so don't get your hopes up.
If you like the other Marvel/Netflix shows, you'll like this.

Amen (referring to the other series I've watched, not this one)
Coming in at a trim and lean eight episodes (as opposed to the traditional 13) The Defenders feels like a much more focused, organised, and nimble beast. What normally happens with one of these series, Daredevil season 2 perhaps being the biggest culprit, is we start with something very interesting (the Punisher) that gets seemingly wrapped up by the halfway point, and then… NINJAS!!!!!!! These Netflix shows often feel like two seasons in one,
Amen, although I was much more annoyed by the whiny drama break-up shit.
Three episodes in, I am very much enjoying it so far.
1. Danny Rand is still annoying, I don't know whether because IF sucked so bad, or if he's just an awkward, annoying man child.
2. I like the fast pace of it... No filler episodes so far.
3. Luke telling Danny that he has white privilege was annoying.

This was...... eh. It didn't blow up my skirt, and it seems like nothing got resolved. People are still alive, even those who should be dead. The same two sides still exist. I don't know. Way better than Iron Fist, at least.
I'm about done with spending time on these shows. I'll watch Punisher, though. That looks violent and badass.

Finally watched it. Was better than I was expecting, but Iron Fist still leaves me cold, and JJ's dialogue was a bit tired and repetitive.
At least we got some level of resolution on... something.
