The media won't let this die:

North Carolina State coach Mark Gottfried said he was “appalled” by the bill and is embarrassed when he goes on recruiting visits and parents ask about it.
I'll take "shit that never happened for $400, Alex." First of all...come on, parentS? Mom, or maybe Grandma, does not give a shit about where a man in a dress has to pee.

Sometime I literally shake with rage over the whole thing.

It's okay. Trump had the gay Paypal guy come out at his convention and tell us all the gay culture war stuff is made up, so we have nothing to worry about.

To be fair, while it's not all made up, it definitely is over hyped.
It's a lot like crime. Most people think crime is out of control because the MSM reports negative news as that gets ratings, however crime is much lower than it has been in the past.
Not saying either isn't a problem, but there's less crime than most people think and less bigotry towards LGBT than one would assume based on MSM reports.

And, one does not ever hear about how their house was fake-robbed.

You mean there's never a follow up on crimes such as robbery where fraud might have occurred instead of an actual robbery? You're right, but it would still technically be a crime.
Although, your bigger point is ridiculously true. The MSM never goes back to publicize when stuff was wrong. Ask Richard Jewel.

Ask Richard Jewel.
I'd have to organize a seance.

Yes, I'm sure that's exactly what Peter Thiel was saying.

Pete is confounding. On one hand, he speaks at the RNC in a pro-Trump fashion. On the other hand, he says shit like this:
On September 22, 2010, Thiel said at a 2010 fundraiser for the American Foundation for Equal Rights, “I believe that gay rights and marriage rights for gay people should not be a partisan issue,” and “Gay marriage can’t be a partisan issue because as long as there are partisan issues or cultural issues in this country, you’ll have trench warfare like on the western front in World War I. You’ll have lots of carnage and no progress.”
Then again, there are totally some things that both he and Trump believe in.
Peter Thiel wrote, on April 13, 2009, in the Libertarian 'Cato Unbound' blog, “Most importantly, I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible.” In the same article, he also wrote, "Since 1920, the vast increase in welfare beneficiaries and the extension of the franchise to women — two constituencies that are notoriously tough for libertarians — have rendered the notion of “capitalist democracy” into an oxymoron."
He also calls himself a conservative libertarian (he appears to be neither) and thought Carly Fiorina deserved financial support,

I can only respond based on how stuff is presented.
I'd have to organize a seance.
He was the first example I thought of because I overheard people talking about him this weekend at a dinner. I thought, "Why are they talking about Richard Jewel, and figured it was the train wreck in Rio."

No, I meant you DO often hear stories about how people were fake-gay/colored/whatever persecuted.
People don't give as much grief as they think they are entitled, so they invent it. Or something.

Then let me present a little more.
PayPal, Toilets, and Hypocrisy at The RNC
What Mr. Thiel did not tell the faithful gathered in Cleveland is that he is involved in targeting a Republican governor in North Carolina who is up for reelection this fall. What he did not reveal at the RNC and to the delegates from North Carolina is that his company, PayPal, is boycotting their state. Why? It's all about the bathroom debate. You know, the one Mr. Thiel doesn't care about.

The other thing that's stupid about this is that everybody frames this bill as about The Gays.
It's not about The Gays. People who pretend to be the opposite sex are not the same as The Gays. But for some reason, they all want to ride in the same boat, so that's why we have this LGBTQX alphabet soup.
Example: Bruce Jenner is not attracted to men. So he's not gay. Unless the claim is that since he's now a "woman" he's a lesbian. I mean I guess why not, right?

there is a fine mix of the mundane, along with some pointed shows of just how despicable Democrats can be when they’re trying to twist the arm of the public, in order to force compliance to their worldview.
As opposed to when conservatives write bullshit abortion laws to force compliance with their world view.

That's one way to package their opposition to abortion, I suppose.

If they applied the same scrutiny to gun ownership that they did to abortion, you wouldn't be able to fire a round without a state-approved marksman and gunsmith standing next to you while you do it. One of them will also need hospital admitting privs, just in case you shoot your toe off.

Because they want to impose their world view. That's their only argument, they're control freaks.
