JT is racist?

So, so much about this story is wrong.
A black actor goes on national TV and talks about the black lives movement. He leaves out all the important details of an incident in Cleveland, and instead paints it like whitey can just execute black people whenever they want. He then makes this statement:
“If you have a critique for the resistance, for our resistance, then you better have an established record of critique of our oppression…If you have no interest in equal rights for black people, then do not make suggestions to those who do. Sit down.”
So essentially, if you don't agree with everything he says, you're racist. Oh, and apparently, it's now a resistance, which sounds very, very peaceful and unifying.
Then JT tweets that he was inspired by that speech and gets destroyed for it, because he's stealing black culture.
Go. Fuck. Yourselves. I say that as someone who isn't even a fan of JT.
You can't scream "unity" and "equality" out of one side of your mouth, while screaming the exact opposite message out of the other.

Cultural appropriation is the stupidest idea ever.

Yet gender appropriation is not only allowed, but celebrated.

That I agree with completely. Culture is meant to be appropriated and shared and enjoyed or disliked just like any other thing people do.
I could somewhat understand someone being upset about "religious appropriation" in the sense that they might get mad at someone wrongfully using their sacred rituals or something. But culture is not a sacred ritual.

Another celeb accused of enjoying a culture they weren't born into.
The best part of this story?
“Even though she is part Native American using a dreamcatcher as ‘hair jewelry’ is not done.
She's fucking Native American and is still being accused of "cultural appropriation" from Native Americans!!!!! These people have lost their fucking minds.
Eddie Murphy did the moonwalk in one of his standup specials. Clearly that was "cultural appropriation"...
Holy shit do we need a culling.

They'll be culled when they push the "us vs. them" divide so far we have (another) an American version of a brexit. The first ones to be killed and eaten are the ones without the guns who self-identify as non-combatants.

No true Scotsman. Also known as the primary method of debating the relative merits of regional forms of BBQ.

"No true Muslim is a terrorist."
Uh oh.

Yes, that is a fallacy some people use. But most people point out that the huge majority (as in over 99%) of Muslims are not terrorists rather than make that argument and are dismissed as if they had made that fallacy.
The prevalence of terrorism among Muslims is almost exactly the same as the prevalence of God-told-me-too-do-it murders is among Christians. Both are despicable. The only difference is one is sometimes directed at the U.S. and the other is not so we don't care so much about that other one.

I thought "He wasn't a real muslim" was the standard line among all of them, even when they write a note saying they were and went down screaming allah akbar.
But you're right I still don't trust those shifty lutherans.

I'm trying to think of a single instance of islamic terrorism where the standard response from the muslim community wasn't, "He wasn't a real muslim, that's against our rules." That is either a logical fallacy and the terrorists are real muslims, or truly, no true Scotsman puts sugar on their porridge.

No true Christian.
No true gun owner.
None of it holds up.

Sure for some. Just like some argue that the
LRA weren't true Christians.

Looks right to me. I would expect the same sort of numbers if you were to poll for "% of Christians who favor making their religious beliefs into official law in their country."
And U.S. Christians would likely come in at over 80% yes.

I want to see the survey which says the majority of Christians in most countries where their religion dominates support a system of law under which homosexuality is punishable by death. I can see some of the shittier third-world countries going full-on Mosaic law and pouring molten lead down motherfuckers' throats for adultery. Kenya and other free-for-all states in Africa spring to mind, but mainly due to economic pressures and social stagnation. There's no chance 80% of the Christians in this country vote for measures that harsh. Shit, 80% of our gov't right now is probably some stripe of that faith.
On the flip side...
A majority (51 percent) of [American] Muslims surveyed said they "should have the choice of being governed according to shariah."
...
Almost 30 percent of American Muslims believe it is legitimate to use violence "against those that insult the prophet Muhammad, the Qur'an, or Islamic faith."
...
One quarter of Muslims said that "violence against Americans here in the United States can be justified as part of the global jihad."
Even more ominous, "nearly one-fifth of Muslim respondents said that the use of violence in the United States is justified in order to make shariah the law of the land in this country," the CSP polling data showed.
When asked "if shariah conflicts with the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights, which law should be considered supreme?," one third of Muslim respondents said sharia.
You might find parity in the fundie psychos of other religions that substantiate those last two items. I'm not saying it's impossible I'm wrong on those others, but I'd like to see some stats.
