WB is still making moves based on the unexpected fan/critic reception of BvS (and Man of Steel), not to mention the fact that it didn't hit $900 million, let along the $1 billion everyone thought it would surge past based on the title alone.
That's an interesting article where WB is FINALLY copying Marvel and creating a Kevin Feige position with a DC guy at the helm. They've created a new studio ala Marvel Studios. They're also scaling back Snyder's influence as it's becoming clear he has no clue who these characters are or what they represent.
The article seems a bit like Snyder is being thrown under the bus, but they make some great points. The guy is amazing at visuals, but his storytelling is terrible.
I still think Suicide Squad will still suck, but this might mark a turn in direction for DC that will finally position them as competition for Marvel.
In other news, I heard on a podcast over the weekend that rumor has it Aquaman is a complete rewrite. So WB denying James Wan was hesitant about directing the movie was probably BS.
