Nah, not desperate.

How do you equate sending a nude as being desperate? Some would call it foreplay.

Just a personal opinion.

Just not sure how a wife or husband (or girlfriend/boyfriend) sending their spouse/partner a sexy picture could be described as "desperate".

How many wives send naked selfies to their husband compared to how many needy, insecure, desperate girls send selfies to people who aren't their husbands? If the ratio is greater than 100:1 I will eat my hat.

I'm not sure how much of a compromise it is to reveal that you have titties and a cooch. I think, probably, that most people knew already.

It's certainly not more of a compromise than the man paying for three dates before the woman entertains the notion of doing something that she's secretly wanted to do since date #1.
