The chip in your CC

Walmart is suing Visa.

They have a point. Anyone can sign a receipt and barely anyone asks for ID. Requiring a PIN is far more secure.

The CCs with chips are a source of non-stop complaints for a lot of people I know. Apparently they don't work half the time and stores say different companies' cards work in different ways.

I don't have a problem with the chips, but since my card has been scammed more than once, I'd like to see the PIN go in. As of now the chip does nothing if the card number is used to buy XBox points online.

Also it's all moot if your identity gets thefted wholesale and peeps take out credit cards in your name.

All thieves are scum and there seriously needs to be some mass beheadings for identity thieves on live TV, to discourage them.

DCs, not CCs, for Walmart's suit.

But yeah, I'm all for some more security. The chips today are a hodge podge, since different places have different compliance, and slightly different processes. But it'll get ironed out.
