That's stupid.
What's next, sue the car company for installing a speedometer, a device which tempts you to go fast to make the number big? That's the exact same thing, really.

Even after the crash, they say she still didn't put the phone down- taking a selfie as medics put her on a stretcher.
That would be my opening, closing, and only statement if I were a prosecutor.

I was just wondering how soon before Snapchat removes that feature.
Cell jammers in cars by law? They can only be deactivated in emergencies?

I bought a cell jammer to install in my car so I could be a rolling "get off your damn phone and drive" hotspot. But I never got around to installing it. Besides, 1) it's illegal, and 2) passengers and those with in-car hands-free cell systems shouldn't be punished for the stupidity of others.

I'm guessing you get arrested if you get caught. Jam the right CIA/FBI/NSA/Border Patrol van on the Houston highway, and they track you and chase you.
