I know nothing of the Power Rangers, so the Internet will have to inform me as to whether or not that image has raped their childhood and/or left them incapacitated.

You can't really go down in quality when your original material is a patchwork of American live action and dated Japanese stunt work from 2-3 different shows.

I have zero interest in this movie, but I am curious to see if they're going to go all out and make it a serious film or if it'll be as terrible, cheap, and cheesy as the TV show.

The costumes are like a mix of Species and Tron.

Former meth cook is on board. Amazingly enough, he provided some voices in the original American transplant show. I'm almost curious to see what the preview is. Aside from the shitty history and baggage the old TV series brings along, there's plenty of potential to wring a decent story out of.
