Because traveling on a plane isn't boring and nap-inducing enough by itself.

Word is getting out that they've shot the season 6 finale and the stars were not in a great mood shooting it. They were negatively affected emotionally by what was shot.

Do you think we'll see you know who? Do you think after teasing it at Terminus and toying with people's emotions in the first half of season 6, they'll actually go through with it?

Also, a scene in the books that happens to someone IS happening in the show even though the person that did it in the books is already dead in the show. That's pretty vague intentionally, and if you want to avoid spoilers do not watch any trailers.

Is this show more or less boring than Deadwood?

Deadwood is a goddamned firefight in real time compared to The Walking Dead. I occasionally think its writers are big Mark Trail fans.

I've never seen Deadwood, but I've only ever heard they cuss a lot.

Also, I don't think Malcolm watches TWD, so...

TWD is slow going initially, but ramps up once they get to the prison.

How long does that take?

Saw one ep. Perhaps it was the worst of the lot, but it was sofa king we todd did. Chalked it up on my list of "shows that I never need to watch again."

If what he says is true, save yourself pain and start up where things are moving. If you see anything on a farm, skip it.

To be fair, you're you.

How long does that take?

The first season is only a couple of episodes and sets up the world and a lot of key characters. I'd recommend watching it.

Season 2 is where it slowed down big time and where you heard a lot of bitching. Why? Because LOTS of people were tuning in at that point.

Compare it to GoT and how nobody talks about how dull Seasons 1 and 2 are until you're trying to catch up. Or Breaking Bad and its boring as shit first few seasons.

Basically Season 2 of TWD breaks down to a search for someone. You meet a few big name people, but overall the season plods along and they're at one location the whole time.

It's frustrating because at the time AMC wasn't giving them a budget and there were behind the scenes issues with the showrunner (which is why certain characters get killed later as the actors playing them were there due to him and when he left...).

Long story short, peeps complained because the audience was skyrocketing due to the show's buzz and they gave these new viewers the worst season.

Although...the search for the person pays off. Not a whole season worth of waiting, but it's powerful. There's also at least one major death in season 2.

Season 3 is foreshadowed at the end of 2, and gets moving MUCH faster with a bigger cast. AMC finally got their heads out of their asses and started throwing money at the show and they got a new showrunner. From there every season gets better and bloodier.

I'm pretty sure they found the person at the mid season finale (halfway through the season), but it seemed like a lot longer than that.

AMC is going to allow some cursing from the guy that those who have read the books knows is coming...

Apparently, they might do a lot of bleeping and let the DVD folks get the full experience of how this person talks.

Jeffery Dean Morgan was awesome.

The only things I hated about the episode is that he didn't list his reasons for each character AND that Season 7 is going to start off with brutality they've promised is going to push the boundaries of what they're allowed to show.

They filmed the death scene everyone is waiting to see 11 times.

Each one was with a different victim so nobody knows who actually dies.

His character's name has been sprinkled into the show since the finale of season 4. He finally appears in the final episode of season 6.

When he does show up it makes an impact.

He looks to be around for quite a while too.

This show and the book will have different endings.

I assume he'll give one a happy ending and the other not so much.

I initially thought he'd give the TV show a happy ending, but honestly, isn't that the one you should end tragically? That would reach more people and get them talking.

I keep thinking the zombies should be becoming more rare. Not many new ones being made, and getting killed constantly.

The book actually covers that.
