He's not too expensive, they prolly just wouldnt put his son in it. A sequel to that movie would have massive paychecks.

I just skimmed through that to see who was going to be in it and what they look like now and it struck me that Judd Hirsch and Jeff Gold Goldblum are starting to look too close in age to pass as father and son. So I looked up Hirsch and he's freaking 80 years old. Obviously some sort of pact with the devil going on there. He hasn't aged in about 20 years.
