It never happened and never will, but it looks like it could have been decent.

Interesting artwork.

What is the supposed appeal of this guy? District 9 was good. Not a great flick, but good enough. Kind of a transparent analogy going from racism in South Africa to bigotry against aliens, but okay. Did the critics just turn into a jerk-fest over the guy when he did the socialist/occupy wall street crapfest of Elysium?

Don't get happy yet, the vision can still get killed by the money people.

"Neil, we love your vision! Don't change a thing. Except what if one of the aliens could actually talk and chose a female gender for itself and suddenly liked wearing pink bows and ribbons? This would go a long way to getting girls in the seats. Also PG-13. KTHX!"

Also PG-13.

That does kind of worry me. Although I saw this and was a bit surprised what a PG rating could let you get away with in '81.

It will be a direct sequel to Aliens.

He's going to ignore Alien 3 and Resurrection ever happened.

It's a bit of a blow to fans of the sequels, but it's hard to argue against taking Alien back to its horror roots.

I dare anyone to confirm the plurality implied by "fans."

A new Newt is one thing but how are they going to explain a 25-years-older Hicks?

Let me guess: acid burns fucked up his face.

Well according to this he is NOT erasing 3 and 4.

4 would be easy to erase, since it was just a clone and technically there could be lots of clones out there. Also in the extended edition, Weland-Yutani was bought out by Walmart which is just funny.

But 3......... I think a lot of people wanted Newt and Hicks back.

Eh, I could leave Newt. All she had to do was hang onto the goddamn ladder and they would've been off that rock. But fuck 3. Fuck 3 in its dog/alien ass.

"Ignoring them" is a better description.

Fuck Alien 3 and Resurrection. Terrible, terrible movies.

Good plan since Weaver and Biehn get younger every day.
