I can't imagine Jeff Daniels has anything holding up his schedule. Jim Carrey, Kick Ass 2 aside, has been pretty quiet nowadays.

A couple of minor chuckles, mostly sad attempts to make you laugh with the same punchlines, and overall a terrible film.
I've heard there's a third coming and they know this one sucked, so...maybe they'll put more effort into it?

I can understand the grief this film got from the critics because they're boring, Academy blowjob jockeys whose pretentiousness is only outstripped by Yelp power-reviewers. I can't understand the grief this film got from the general public. I enjoyed it. Why? Because I knew exactly what the fuck to expect. I switched my brain back to "14-year old" mode and was entertained. Had at least five or six times that got me.
Also, Kathleen Turner could have a supporting role as Godzilla's mom in the next movie. Holy fuck. If you thought Barry Bonds's neck got big...

The first one was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I can only imagine this being worse.

Not as much as you'd think; it's losing its charm. Back to the wood (not G's) up your ass: were you expecting satire written by Shakespeare? This wasn't any worse than the first one, which to this day beats the fuck out of virtually any comedy I can think of in the last two decades.

You have this weird condition where you mistake not negative for positive. They aren't the same. The movie was absolutely brainless but it was funny in its own box.

That's how I felt about Water Boy. But the original of this series was just garbage.
