This show is basically Sliders.
I don't even know what the deal with it is... it's like an hour and a half long, and it seems like a pilot for a new series but this is the only one there. I could probably research it but I don't feel like it.
But I would probably start watching it if it was a show.

It's in my Netflix queue.
It is not a pilot, but based on reviews, other folks agree that it should be a TV show.

Absolutely nothing gets resolved. This isn't a stand-alone movie.

It was developed to be a pilot, but they decided to make it a movie
Parallels was created as a television pilot, but Fox Digital Studios morphed it into a stand-alone movie.

The object from the core Earth is never explained. The only way the film makes any sense is when one realises that it was originally a pilot for a series where these plot holes would have been answered.

At any rate, this show is exactly Sliders, except with the added element of a mysterious corporation that may be running things behind the scenes.
