I was introduced to this at the end of the recent Wolverine movie.

Here's a lead-up/universe-building vid.

I am surprised so much of this movie happened without me knowing.

I read those back in the day. Rachel Summers was a "bloodhound" who had to help hunt down mutants for The Man.

Here's a trailer. Seems very different from what we've had so far.

"Final" trailer.

Skip it if you don't want to see a bunch of stuff that would best be left unspoiled.

Nice marketing blitz.

25 moments in history influenced by the X-Men.

Gambit cast. No word whether or not his staff doubles as a stripper pole.

Gambit is one of those characters who is really cool until you spend more than 5 minutes seeing or reading him.

I'm waiting to see how badly the Cajun accent gets butchered.

Meh.

It's certainly no Avengers.

It was pretty good. After Catt's review I thought it would suck more, so pleasantly surprised.

I'm glad I could help it exceed your expectations :)

It certainly wasn't bad, it was good. It just wasn't great.

If nothing else, they were able to use the time travel angle to undo a lot from the most crappy of the X-Men movies. Maybe they can do that with the Matrix next.

One thing is for sure, Whedon is going to have a hard time making his Quicksilver cooler than the X-Men Quicksilver.

Joss Whedon has a hard time not tripping over his own ego, let alone creating a coherent plot and interesting characters.

What terrible thing happened to you in the past?

Nothing in particular to me. He simply sucks. Go down to the last question he answers that involves this piece of shit that almost made the previous one look watchable. There's so much blaming other people for your own incompetence there that I'd swear B. Rock's speech writers went back in time and handed him those words.

So he needs creative control, he had a vision and other people couldn't execute that. Believable.
