Humble Bundle has a Walking Dead set that includes some other comics as well. Knowing nothing about this stuff, are the prices listed good for what you are getting? The more you spend, the more you get. Is this how you read these comics, or do most people get hard copies of some kind? How many volumes are in the WD series and how far is the TV show into them? I know they differ, but approximately, what volume is the TV show on? I've heard the comic is awesome, and want to give it a try. Is this a good start? And then, if I like it, how much do you normally spend on each volume?

I checked out the volumes at the library and read them that way.
I've read through volume 16, but I guess there are 21 out there now I need to stop by the library again.

Things are different. We still got cannibals preying on survivors, but its in a different location.
I think they're at their next long-term encampment for awhile when Volume #16 ends but a lot happens there.

Oh... a better way to put it is that there are 21 volumes, and the current storyline is in the latter part of Volume #11. You do the math.

Each Walking Dead TPB is $15. The hardcover sets are near $75-100.

The biggest difference you'll find is that there is no TV executives holding the book back. Meaning Jason Kirkman can write whatever the fuck he wants and doesn't have to worry about pissing off advertisers.

As for the other books, I've never heard of them except Invincible. Kirkman also writes that, but it's a super hero book. I've heard good things.

What is TPB?

So, if $15 gets me 5 volumes of Walking Dead, I'm doing pretty good?

Trade Paperback.

And yes, it's a great deal.
