Don Cheadle is also signed on.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think part of Ed Norton's deal is that he's signed on for The Avengers too.
Marvel also plans to lock up whomever plays Captain America and Thor for The Avengers.

The potential ensemble cast doesn't worry me. At least Favreau is back directing.

Joss Whedon to direct.
Favreau will be on board producing.

He's just pissy because Salma dumped him.

Interesting how Marvel worded that announcement.
They wanted everyone to know this was not about money, but because Norton is hard to work with.
Considering his lack of other gigs lately, it seems that message might be spreading.
That's what happened to Kilmer.

Brando was supposed to be the ultimate asshole to work with on a set.

I think Brando was a little more than half insane.

Neat to see them all interacting.
A massive industry was created just to get to this movie.... let's see how it turns out.

If The Avengers is even moderately successful, they're saying that the franchise will have more box office than the Harry Potter films, which is the current champ.

Latest spot.
"I have an army..."
"We have a Hulk."
I might do a midnight screening for this film if they have one. Opening night for certain.

It looks like Downey/Iron Man is going to be the pivotal role in explaining the team and the story. That's perfect.
This film is just excellently cast. My only gripe would be that I still think Mark Valley was born to play Captain America. Plus, the new guy as Bruce Banner is untested.
I wonder if Loki will truly be the only villain as he was in the first Avengers comic way back when? I wondered if we'd see Ultron, possibly the #1 Avengers villain, but he was created by Hank Pym (Giant Man/Ant Man), and we haven't seen him yet.
I honestly have no idea who the hell would be the villain(s) in a sequel right now. That's the problem with the Avengers and the JLA, it's hard to create good villains to offset all of their powers.
