So I have 1000 items in my inventory, mostly cards.

Do turn them into sets, money, or gems?

I turned mine into money.

I completely forgot about the sale and cards this time around.

Is the money worth it?

I was out of town for a lot of the sale, so I didn't get very into this one.

I sat down yesterday and was eating my lunch picking titles I wanted to buy, and when I went to make the purchase, Steam goofed and wiped it all out. With 3 minutes to go, I figured I'd just get them in the next sale.

I've made at least $15 or $20 from items? I mean, it's not wonderful, but it's a couple of free games.

I only bought the Brave New World DLC for Civ 5, it was really cheap. Started playing it this weekend and the next thing I know I'm 200+ turns into a game and just now getting into mid game. Super fun and long game,

You probably didn't buy the complete game and all DLC for $12 or whatever it was did you?

I did not. Missed the whole summer sale.

I'll wait until the next one. Not like I don't have things to play until then...

This applies big time to games like Rust.

Steam is putting gift restrictions in place to combat cheating.

Additionally, if an account has directly gifted a game to other players who have been VAC or permanently Game Banned, then that account will lose the ability to gift that game.
That's a bit iffy. I give gifts on Steam every now and then, but those players' actions can blow back on me now? I guess I'll be buying fewer games as gifts now.

They're giving up sales for the integrity of certain games, like Rust. I'm ok with this move.

Yeah, double down on a thumbs up move from me. I'm not seeing how it hurts the normal gamer

Gary Newman is trolling people on Twitter with:
"Steam to be Linux only by 2019"

Some people were biting.

Can you do teams? Seems like it'd be a suitable handicap if Troy had me on his team.
