And yes, Leisher, this is the movie to play hooky to see.
You have never said anything more true than that statement.
Saw it today and all I can say is wow.
More later when I really have time to go into it, but this is an easy 9 out of 10.

No kidding. Caught a matinee today, and even after this second viewing I could have turned around and paid to see it again.

Spock, spock, and Kirk on SNL.

I didn't know you could say that on TV.

Shatner and Khan are possibilities in the next movie.

Y'all know my opinion.

I hope we don't see Shatner, it wouldn't be right with the new direction things are going.
But Khan would be cool. It'd be semi-young Khan, of course (TV show era Khan as opposed to movie era Khan), so ... how about Antonio Banderas?

Am I the only fucker not to've seen this flick?
&
so ... how about Antonio Banderas?
HELL, NO.

how about Antonio Banderas?
Wouldn't you rather see Khan played by someone that can act?
I keep thinking about bigger names who could pull off a young Khan and I keep thinking Daniel Craig would be an interesting choice. He's got the build, intensity, and acting chops, but can he be as charismatic as Ricardo?
Eh, it'll probably be a no name or someone nobody sees coming like the guy who plays Sawyer on Lost.

It isn't saying much, but he was the best one in the movie "Evita."

I don't hate the man, but I think he's an inconsistent actor. He's been good in some things, but terrible in others. Plus, I don't know if it's his choice or his directors', but he usually comes off as really over the top.

They might give Gerard Butler a shot at it, if they try.

I don't think Banderas is any great actor or anything, but you can't tell me that Montleban was not "over the top" as Khan (while also being very good, admittedly). :p At least he would be better than Cheech Marin.
Saw it again today. Still love it.

It takes great skill to be over-the-top & still have people call you a legit bad-ass.

It's becoming annoying, since 300 was released, how screaming has become a good way to show perseverance. I've seen at least 2 more trailers since then of the leader (or whoever) doing his best Leonidas "Tonight we dine in hell!" impersonations.
