It's not the end until you hit the kill screen.

Why does the Dark Ritual cut my DPS in half?

Do you have the ancient that gives you extra DPS while idle? If so it could be turning that off temporarily when you click Dark Ritual.

Ah, yes.
Thanks.

Now on Steam.
62 achievements.
Download it and import your saved text file. Give it a minute and you'll get tons of achievements easily.
Oddly, the feature that advances you forward automatically isn't there. (I take it back. It showed up once I imported.)

There's a new 5th tab that says "Coming Soon".

I'm guessing that's for porn.

What macro program are you using for mouse clicks?

I use AutoClicker set to 20 milliseconds for the clicking.
Sometimes when I want to do more complex automation I'll use Pulover's Macro Creator set to focus the window, turn off auto-clicker, press 869123457, ctrl-click some levels on Frostleaf, then turn the autoclicker back on and set it to repeat with a 2.5m delay at the end (I've maxed my levels on the ancients to reduce cool downs). But this program is a bit clunky to use. There's bound to be a better one out there.

They just added multiplayer to the online version, but not the Steam version.
It's coming in four days or so.

If you guys were wanting to stop playing it, I could start.

If any of you are still playing it or want to give it another run, clan me up.
(Or if you've never played and want to start. It is a FREE game and you can either be active or "set it and forget it". The later being more my style for this particular game.)
Apparently, there are immortals now too that require a clan to defeat.

I'm not sure I understand the point of "set it and forget it". You just turn on the game and it plays itself? can that be any fun?

Yes and no. I think it would depend on your personality and what you're looking to get out of it.
There are actually four or more games like this on Steam:
Clicker Heroes
Adventure Capitalist
Time Clickers
Time Raiders
There are more, but I don't remember their names.
The games are basically about growth. Start with x and by killing enemies, gain cash, which then purchases skills, hit a certain level and reset but earning "modifiers", repeat, etc.
Catt seemed to be ridiculously efficient at playing it. I'm not. Nor do I want to put entire evenings into it (not that he did...I honestly don't know how he moved so quickly through it). I'll launch it, do some upgrading, then let it run in the background. Eventually, I'll want a break from my work and pop it up to do more upgrades.
The fun part for me is just gaining levels and power. Essentially, the core part of any RPG.
So for me it's just a distraction. A "game" I can play at work for seconds or an hour if I really wanted to or something I can play while watching a movie I don't want to lose focus on because I'm playing something more in depth.
If you're even curious about it, it's free and something like an 80MB download. You can also play it on the website clickerheroes.com.

I used a clickbot.

By "clickbot", do you mean an automated program that clicks on that site only, and you can go do other things while it's working, like the bots for the Bing Rewards thing?
I use an autoclicker. Actually, the one TPR recommended. It gets slightly annoying at later levels as I can't use my PC for other things if I'm on a run and don't want to lose the combo bonuses.
What ancients did you purchase and max out? I assume you upgraded the "click combo damage" one, but how far did you upgrade him?

So did any of you guys who played this do the gilded heroes strategy? Where you make certain heroes the only ones gilded until certain levels, then switch them to another and so on?

Yes, autoclicker.
But I have a server that sits around and just serves media, so I ran it there.
The two that maxed out click damage. But I cant remember who they are? Something about click damage, something else that built up damage based on continuous clicking.

What level did you get to? I know there are folks in the 4K range.
You didn't bother with gilds?
