Oh, I wasn't arguing that. I totally agree. I was just saying that it will not end the bitching.

The only people losing in this deal are the networks who paid to air WNBA games.

Well, that's it's own story. I have no idea if it's working out for the networks. Curious though

To be fair, sometimes networks will take a loss on something just so they can check some boxes.

For example: ESPN has been known to fill their airtime with stuff nobody watches just to keep with the 24/7/365 sports theme. Is anybody really watching the minigolf championship?

The WNBA is a big box checked as it's professional women's sports.

Back before women's college hoops became more diverse, they were some of the easiest bets to make. Vegas could not set the lines high enough. UCONN -60? Yeah, they'll cover that easy, and they would.

A handful of R lawmakers ask the WNBA why they're letting Clark get physically assaulted over and over.

They're just asking the same questions that the MSM, SM, and fans have been asking. Fair question. I don't think lawmakers should be wasting their time with this though. Honestly, the NBA, as the primary funding source for the WNBA, should be the ones asking what the fuck is going on.

Not true any more with the new TV contract ($200 million from TV; $15 million from NBA). Though the NBA does own 42.5% of the WNBA, so they should be concerned with growth.

Fair point. So the TV people should be concerned with the WNBA allowing violence against Clark considering the biggest audiences tune in to see her and not the rest of the league.

A white person does well at something bringing added value to the entire league and everyone in it. She immediately becomes the villain because she's the wrong skin color and isn't gay. She is constantly physically attacked while the authorities look the other way and pretend it isn't happening. Additionally, they go out of their way to minimize her impact on the success of the league. People trying to point out the unfair treatment she's receiving are called racists.

That sure does sound a lot like America to me.
