Drumpf says it's rigged. Maybe they're just taking him at his word.

Yeah and when everyone assumed Gramma would win, the left said he was ridiculous, but now they want recounts.
Fuck those people.
It was probably still rigged for Hillary, but they didn't expect to have to overcome an ass kicking. There will be no major charges and nothing will change. They're already planning big things for 2020.

He thinks, correctly I might add, that he's an elector and can vote any goddamn way he chooses.
He can, absolutely. Should he? No. If I hired someone to take care of my interests, they fucking better take care of my interests.
I will allow certain times when voting a different way might make sense, but this is not one of those times. Trump is not Hitler. Trump is just an arrogant blowhard who thinks he knows everything and doesn't have a filter.
When he starts rounding up citizens for executions, I'll begin believing we need to do something. Until then all this non-stop chatter about how the world is ending is the same shit I head in 2012, 2008, 2004, 2000, and so on.
Also, I agree with Gordo's frustration about the double standard message that's constantly sent. Like I said, if this was 2012 and he was an elector in a blue state, they'd probably move to immediately fire/imprison this guy and the only people who would publish his oped would be FOX. Meanwhile, back when Barry won his first or second there were lots of examples of voter fraud and nobody cared. Black Panthers threatened folks outside a polling station and nobody cared. Bush won the popular vote, but that wasn't important because old people might not have punched their ballots correctly in Florida and maybe Gore won the electoral college. Etc for fucking ever.
And I know that goes both ways. How about people stop whining and bitching so much and just shut the fuck up, accept the election results, and move forward by working together?

He's making his daughter a climate czar, he's pushing for a $1T stimulus package, he's all in for crony capitalism as shown with the Carrier deal, and he's threatening to put a 35% tax on goods imported from countries he deems "unfair". Not really sure what it is about the guy that liberals don't like. Other than having an "R" after his name. Which is funny, because apparently that's the only reason a lot of alleged "conservatives" like him.

It sounds like he is treating the position with the respect it deserves.

Drumpf doesn't know wtf respect is, nor does his brood.

Bitch McConnell is convinced the Russians influenced the election.

Well, we had birthers, not we get a bunch of dumbfucks who think the Russians won the election.

Did the Russians make Hillary not go to Wisconsin?

This could get fun.
Missouri Sen. Roy Blunt joined a growing number of Republicans on Monday who said Congress should investigate Russia’s possible interference in the U.S. election.
Roy Blunt has been holding office in that state for decades.

Sooo, what's their end game here for the Republicans? To prove that Hillary should be President instead? If they hated Trump that much why did they support him after he won the nomination?

They want to take a run at him in 4 years. This is like a scouting expedition.

I predict that if the electors don't vote him in on the 19th, people are going to die.
I think you'll see militias and nutjobs coming out of the woodwork to target government offices, officials, and the MSM.

You'll get maybe a couple that cast votes for someone else.

I have no problem with that. They'll all be headed to DC and state capitals and perhaps those two groups of insane people can thin out the opposing herd a bit.

That seems pretty unlikely. These electors are chosen by the parties that won them. I can't see
any electors chosen by the Republican party choosing to vote Clinton, nor any Democrat electors choosing to vote Trump. And if they start jumping ship to other candidates that just makes it that much more likely that the evil person they oppose most gets in. Oh, sure, there's been lots of big talk about how they are going to shake things up, but as bad as "voting against rather than for" is for democracy as a whole it's what is going to keep all of the electors on track this time.

One elector is already not voting for Drumpf. Not Mrs. Bill, either. No one's jumping across the aisle.

I think people are conflating two different issues. Russia hacked a bunch of stuff they shouldn't have. That should be investigated. That hacking had nothing to do with Hillary being unlikable, her setting up a private email server for State Department business (and then playing stupid about it) or any other of her long list of questionable decisions.
I guess I'm one of the rare ones that think Hillary lost because she was a horrible candidate, and Russia isn't our friend. Both of these things can be (and are) true.

Hillary lost because she's the same old tired bullshit. People were apparently still willing to vote for bullshit, but they wanted the new and fresh bullshit. Bullshit with a different flavor and mouth feel from the bullshit they were used to having to eat.
And that's why the Dems shot themselves in the foot when they cheated Sanders out of the nomination. That's the moment that they handed the office to Trump.
