Yeah, after reading your post in the other thread...
Already had an MRI on the knee and the shoulder.
Both are mildly osteoarthritic. The knee also has synovitis, which can be a sign for rheumatoid arthritis. The shoulder has partially torn bicep tendon, mild arthritis, and a labrum issue. Surgeon wanted to operate. I thought I'd try toughing it out. It really hasn't improved, but, we'll see.

I've kept it up. Still 1 set each. Going to start expanding next week.

Another 10% up this week. My adjustable weights only go by larger increments now.
Also added a 2nd set.

I've noticed an ironic part of lifting... it's easier to advance once you are doing heavier weights.
On the squat sled I am advancing 20 pounds every two weeks. At 300 pounds, going to 320 is like a 7% increase in weight. No big deal.
But in my shoulder extensions, for some reason my shoulders are super weak. When I go from 15 pound dumbbells to the next heavier, the 20's, I am increasing by 25%, and I have a super hard time finishing 3 full sets at that weight and it is taking me months to build that strength and go to 25 pounders.
The heavier you are lifting, the easier to advance.

Probably more due to the fact that your quads are your biggest muscle group, while your shoulders are among the smallest.

I tend to agree with thib. Goddamn I wish I could redirect my quad muscle growth to the upper body or lower back.

Hit the soccer fields for the first time post-surgery this weekend. it felt great - running and all the PT paid off. Can't wait to be cleared to do pick-up out here.

215.6 this morning. But I ate pizza and breadsticks last night.
Doing a 3 hour fasted ride right now to burn them back out.
Starting to see changes in my arms and shoulders from lifting. Not much, but something. Planning to add legs to lifting at some point, but the knee isn't 100% yet.

I signed up for 6 games. Have lost 9 pounds.
So far I've won $1.50 in 1 one game.
I won $553.09 over the 1 month games + 3 month games combined.
Gonna sign up for 3 more soon. And I think my ketone strips went bad, so I bought some more.

Went to Costco today and I had a sample of new York strip, chicken teriyaki, breakfast sausage, and a pork rib.
PROTEIN.

I think I am giving up on dieting for the Summer. Just too difficult keeping a routine with the kid out of school wanting *food* at actual mealtimes, and vacations, and shit. I'll just try to not gain too much until school starts, and then hit it hard again, willpower refreshed.
