The whole thing is a first-person sloppy mess. Here's a typical sample:

“We lie there, panting together, waiting for our breathing to slow. He gently strokes my hair … Boy … I Survived. That wasn’t so bad. I’m more stoic than I thought. My inner goddess is prostrate … well, at least she’s quiet.”

Hah, that is some bad writing. But whatever works for people, works for people.

As more than one husband I know from back then said "I got lucky tonight, and my wife didn't even have wine beforehand!"

That kind of my thought. The country that has ancient temples with nothing but divine porn sculptures decorating the perimeter is offended by Twilight BDSM fanfic?

Yeah, my wife is all damp over it. I find it annoying, overall.

It's just so awful, why is it so popular? And don't say because BDSM; these books do every single thing so completely wrong in every way it absolutely horrifies real BDSM people.

Fifty Shades of Grey is about BDSM in the same way that The Wicker Man is about beekeeping.

Copy stolen. Betting the pages will be stickier than a 50-year old Playboy issue when they get it back.
