Skinny guy DJ Qualls will probably appear in a Hurley flashback.
Unskinny Hurley has the same taste in clothes.

Was the black man Rose's husband?
(From the other thread)
Yes. That's what has been reported.

The bearded man who took walt on the small boat is an actor called M.C. Gainey.
M.C. Gainey is also credited in the 5th episode into the 2nd season as "Kelvin".
Kelvin is the guy who taught Desmond to push the button, then died.
Hmmm.

A "sexy" female is getting killed off this season.
About the cast, "they all have clauses in their contracts that they can be written off at any time."
The Walt-stealing pirates are "The Others." (I heard someone say that on a Jimmy Kimmel Live interview, but other actors are saying it as well).
Lindelof confirmed that Oceanic Flight 815 "did not crash by accident. It crashed for a very specific reason."

I thought it would be a cheap shot to throw in a dream sequence in the promo.
I thought it was going to be a Walt-like apparition by someone in the hatch (hence the lighting). I figured Kate.
But the weirdness makes it seem like Hurley has a dream where he pigs out.
I think they're going to explain why he went to the nuthouse this episode. I'm really curious about that. Hurley's probably my 3rd favorite character.

If I suck $156 million and my friends can't handle it then screw 'em I'll just buy new ones.
Hurley's a big ol' whiney baby who apparently had crappy friends if you ask me.

Getting the dynamite to blow up the food so people wouldn't turn on you? Yeah, right.
If I found out that some fatass blew up a stockpile of food, I'd wrap him up and deliver him to the Others.

Someone is supposed to die this season.
Sayid and snobby Shannon are getting romantic.
Should they make sweet monkey love in the jungle, according to movie rules Shannon must die.

I hear the details behind the death are going to be more shocking than the death itself.

I heard a woman kills a woman.
I hope Kate does it.
I also heard that it's 3 weeks until the next non-repeat episode.

Yes, I believe we'll be waiting three weeks.
As for the killer, the suspects HAVE to be:
Kate
Claire
Sun
Cindy
Anna
Rose
(I believe that's all of them)
My bet is on Rose or Cindy. Kate and Anna are too obvious. Sun and Claire don't make sense.

I think the death with be becaause of her relationship with Sayid.
Either one of the tail section survivors is his girlfriend and catches them together, or someone who was hurt by Sayid gets revenge by killing his love.
Anna may be ex-military. If she served in the Gulf War, she or her buddies may have been captured and tortured by Sayid.
Maybe we should write Jin and ask?

Spoilerfix
A lot of people on the Lost forums were wondering if Shannon's death was really due to the gunshot. Looking at the wound, they concluded that she was really stabbed. It looks like they were wrong.
11/16 - Executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse reveal: It's always possible [Shannon] could pop up in someone's backstory. But she is definitely dead. When a character dies on the island, they stay dead. In the same moment that we decided Shannon would die, [we also decided that] Ana-Lucia would be responsible for that death. It would be the first time one castaway was responsible for killing another, and it would give so much inherent conflict and trauma [heading to] the merge. We're walking a very tenuous tightrope with her, but we feel that over the course of the next two episodes the audience will hopefully get a better understanding for that character and what she's been through. [Shannon] was shot. Walt's disappearance and, ultimately, Michael's efforts to reunite with him were part of a grander plan. As we move into the middle run of episodes, we're definitely emphasizing the Jack-Kate-Sawyer romantic triangle. The level of sexual tension between those three characters is definitely being ramped up. As the respective leaders of their respective units, Ana-Lucia and Jack have a great deal in common with each other, and that's definitely something we're going to be exploring. But [the fact that] Ana-Lucia inadvertently murdered one of the members of the tribe doesn't exactly [lend itself] to candlelight dinners and walks on the beach. She is a woman; she will have romantic entanglements. But I think the one that will begin to emerge over the season will be the one that you least expect. We're definitely going to be paying attention to [the Charlie and Claire] relationship, but it's not going to turn in ways the audience expects. I think that [the] question [as to what the numbers mean] will never, ever be answered. I couldn't possibly imagine [how we would answer that question]. We will see more ramifications of the numbers and more usage of the numbers, but it boggles my mind when people ask me, "What do the numbers mean?" You'll learn more about [why Ethan abducted Claire] this season. [We still plan on revealing why the plane crashed this season.] In the next string of episodes, one of the really compelling backstory elements is what happened to Jack's marriage. We think Julie Bowen is amazing and she and Matthew Fox are so great in scenes together, and I think the audience is really curious as to what went wrong there. And you should pay attention to Mr. Eko's stick. That stick is an important ongoing clue. [We will learn more about the monster this season.]
