I'm flying to the Bahamas on March 8th. If that thing fucks with my flight, people are going to die.

If gender is just a social construct, what the hell are they going on about?
Excellent question.

So, weeks later, what did this march accomplish? What new equalities did women get?
The goal certainly could not have been "awareness that we don't like trump." That has been super loud and clear to every conscious person since election night.
It certainly could not have been a gigantic waste of time.

So I asked a female coworker is she was joining the Day Without Women.
Her: Uh, when is it?
Me: March 8th! International Women's Day!
Her: Oh, yeah, I don't know.
But she did say I was "one of the people who didn't need it" or something like that, so I'm enlightened.

It's always nice to be considered "One of the good ones" when you're otherwise being generalized.

I asked my militant single-mother neighbor about it. She's working.

The most oppressed class of people in the U.S. are holding a day of protest Wednesday that has
caused schools in Alexandria, Virginia to close.

No idea where to put this story. Republican party seemed wrong. Its about women issues so this one seemed fine.
Tomi Lahren said on The View last Friday:
“I’m someone that’s for limited government. So I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government but I think the government should decide what women do with their bodies,” she said. “I can sit here and say that, as a Republican and I can say, you know what, I’m for limited government, so stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body as well.”
It created an uproar. Only from the side that normally is very Pro Lahren. Some of her monologues are interesting/topical and some are just trolling the left for ratings. She loves to talk about "special snowflakes" and "safe spaces". Meanwhile she speaks her - completely reasonable - political views and special snowflake CONSERVATIVES go up in arms and demand a safe space from Tomi Lahren on The Blaze for a week. Wild stuff.
Further proof that being a dumbshit crosses party and gender lines.

I'm not really familiar with her work, but I respect her opinion here.
Even if you're anti-abortion, you have to respect the logic of her argument.

On the other hand.... can you say you are for limited government but also say government shouldn't tell you who you can murder? That's what the abortion debate comes down to.

Yeah - I think he meant weird position of wanting more government control but government can't tell you who you can murder. Could totally swap party positions if not for this whole "religion" thing.

A lot of woman argued on social media about the vulgarity of "pussyhats"
Oh - and probably some solidarity was gained amongst women in the process of defending pussyhats. Pussyhats.

I'm glad they were able to come together to bring awareness to such important issues.
