The realistic goal would be another 20 pounds, and that's what I'm shooting for, 225. However, I'd like to get down to 200, although one of the co-workers I'm in this with said, "Dude, you would look like a crackhead." He has a point. My wife said something similar when I told her, "You've got too much muscle to drop that low." I do not want to lose muscle mass.
225 is the victory. Once I get there, if I see room for more improvement without looking like I'm on Ozempic, I'll keep going.
I have already noticed a slimming in my face.

Did a weigh in this morning. By the official numbers, I'm down 19.7 pounds.
Unofficially, from my highest ever weight, I'm down 21.7.

BAM! How many more? How long is the competition?

It only goes to July 1st, but I'm going well past that. I have a trip to Universal later in July and I'm not going to Florida in the middle of summer as a fattie. I've set a weight goal only known to myself, and as stated, the lifestyle changes are already in effect. Smaller portions, no fast food, snacking almost gone, etc.
I want to stay on this path through the end of the year. I figure that should be long enough to really set a pattern.
Also, I'm not being super strict. Being forced to get BK after all night at a sporting event? Fine. Want a candy bar? Fine, just don't make it a habit. Point being, everything is a realistic change. I'm not doing anything over the top. In fact, tonight is the first night in weeks that I haven't walked or rowed. Had to take a break for my body, but it's such a habit now that I miss it.
In a funny moment, my wife was legit pissed at me today because the new jeans (1 of 3 pair) I just bought look like clown pants on me now. Apparently, she'd rather me being miserable, out of shape, and unhealthy to save a buck. She doesn't know about the new shorts that, literally, fall right to the floor when I try to put them on...

Yeah... I tried to wait all the way down, but things all looked ginormous. But I also didn't want to waste money.
Ended up with a few select items that I just wore all the time.

Standing in my office right now in new jeans and if I didn't have my belt on, they'd fall off. Not as easily as the shorts, but I'd be very nervous if I didn't have my belt. I genuinely love it because it's the best indication of the work I've done.
Felt guilty as hell taking last night off from everything, but this morning I feel better about it. I had been having a little pain walking and rowing so much with flat feet. My body feels good this morning. Tonight is golf and I'll probably walk the dog when I get home.

Weighed in yesterday for the first time in 2 weeks. Haven't been as strict with my diet this month with my BDay and the 4th, still working out and walking though. I was nervous. Stepped on the scale once. Didn't believe it. Got off and let it reset. Stepped on again. Went and did my morning routine of showering and whatnot. Before getting dressed weighed in again.
Three different results, but all within 1.3 pounds.
Called the middle kid after I left for work and asked her to test the scale if she knew her weight. She said it was accurate.
I'm down 28-29 pounds from my absolute heaviest weight at the doctor's office in March.
BTW, I crushed the competition in the contest and now we're going to roll it back. I want them to keep pushing me and vice versa. We'll probably end the week before turkey day and then pick back up in the new year.
I can feel the difference in habits. I'm not starving all the time. I can go much longer without feeling the need to eat something. I'm still being really smart about what I eat, but not overly strict. I've also noticed subscriptions to my OF page are increasing!
I've been thinking about possibly getting some supplements to help me add just a touch of muscle mass, but I'm scared to do that. I don't want to add weight, I just want some tone and to grow my biceps and triceps a bit.

We were very similar. I had been in the 245-250 range for a few years, and this winter went up to 262. Granted, that was fully dressed, but fuck that shit. I wanted to drop the weight, but was having motivation issues. Thankfully, the guys at work apparently had their own issues.

AI says creatine would be helpful for me to maintain and build muscle during my calorie deficit thanks to eating lighter.

However, people with pre-existing kidney conditions should consult a healthcare provider before use.
