The largest age difference was 40 years and occurred in 2002, when a 57-year-old applied to marry a 17-year-old. Over 200 minors married an adult at least 10 years older than themselves.
They "looked into this" back in 2001, and raised the age from 13 to 14.
So a 14 year old is a mature enough to decide to have sex and get married, but not old enough to get legally representation to file for divorce.
That's some impressive laws you've got down there.
Anyone in the NC legislature that votes against raising the age limit should be removed from office immediately for gross incompetence and barred from ever holding public office again.
His denial story is so unbelievable that it must be true or he's insane. It's also going to be one that's extremely easy to verify since he's listed federal agencies as his alibi. So it had better be true. If not, death.

Playing politics trivializes the legalized kid fucking. Any single person, regardless of party, could have quite easily made a difference here. It's not difficult for a politician to make headlines.

That doesn't strike me as a very large bond.
