CNN puts up a pretty sizeable piece on the judge for Trump's mishandling of classified documents trial.
I won't call it a hit piece, but it definitely isn't a glowing vote of confidence.
I get why this would be written. It's interesting to see the judges, particularly after the judge at the last Trump trial, whose daughter has deep ties the the DNC, seemed to steal a lot of headlines with his behavior.
But the article I'd like to see written, because I really want it explained to me by a legal expert, preferably one that knows the Constitution, is how Trump is facing these charges, yet his opponent in the next election isn't because "he's mentally unfit". How can that be true, yet the 25th amendment isn't being used to remove him from office?
The DNC needs to kill this case ASAP. They already saw the backlash for going after Trump and the hush money to Stormy Daniels. (And why could Paula Jones hold a press conference and parade the $850K in hush money she got from Bill Clinton with nothing being done to him? I'm so confused as to why that money was never investigated and why such payments are legal. Did she pay taxes on that?)
Anyway, as Biden is out "defending democracy" and "fighting dictators", according to CNN's headlines and his own X account, he and his party are trying to use courts to defeat his political opponent, which seems very anti-Democratic and very "dictatory". The fact that Biden himself should have faced the same charges, but was excused isn't going to sit well with a lot of voters. The reason why he isn't facing charges won't sit well with even more voters.
Do we think Biden steps down at the DNC and they announce a new candidate or do we think the Trump train has been given too much fuel at this point and they'll just let Biden take the loss?
