This flick is on HBO now so I frequently have it on for background noise when I am doing other things.
The more I see of this version of Lex Luthor, the more I hate him. He is so sniveling and weird. When he does his falsetto, "The redcapes are coming, the redcapes are coming," I want to give him a massive wedgie.

Also when B and S actually confront each other, Supes is all like, "Bruce, stop trying to fight me, we have to talk." Then he pushes Bruce really hard and sends him flying back like 50 feet, instead of, say, just grabbing his arms and immobilizing him and making him listen.

I've been doing the same. That push has driven me mad too. If he doesn't shove him, does the fight end? It certainly leaves Bats in the line of fire for those autocannons.
And I mentioned before, but what's his face played Luthor like Max Landis. Max has to be pissed that so many people hate his personality.
Oh, and I really hope the sequel explains Luthor's motivations here. He's easily the worst part of this movie. He threw away everything. Why? He seemed to have some knowledge at the end, but who gave it to him?

What's his face? Really? The Michael Cera wanna-be? He was in Zombieland.

Jesse Eisenberg! As I read your comment, it came back to me. I couldn't think of it last night. All I could think of was Michael Cera and I knew that wasn't it.

Ok, but explain why this was his version of Luthor.

I have no idea why he did it, just that he decided to play it that way.
It was a terrible choice, and in a movie filled with bad choices, he made the worst.

I think this video nails why BvS doesn't work.

Affleck quits directing gig.
After weeks of rumors and speculation, Ben Affleck has confirmed he will not direct the planned upcoming superhero movie The Batman. The filmmaker says he still intends to reprise his starring role as Batman, a project for which he’s been working on a screenplay for the last several months.

That is an amazingly good piece of analysis.
He's dead on about Snyder.

Leisher wrote: Don't blame the actors either. I think Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck do a perfectly good job as Superman and Batman. Say what you want about Affleck, but his Bruce Wayne is the best we've ever seen.
No, it isn't.
Leisher wrote: They simply don't stay true to the source material.
Not a concern to me. Dont think I ever read these comics. My BatMan is Adam West.
Leisher wrote: She was awesome in the movie until she put on her costume.
Disagree. She was awesome, period.
Leisher wrote: And aside from that criticism, the pacing of the film is complete shit. Just a horribly slow movie. No reason this had to be a 2 hour and 40 minute affair either.
I can't argue much here. Especially with such a CRAP payoff fight for 1.5 hours of setup. "Martha"
Overall, I was entertained. Much more so than Train to Busan. It wasn't a great movie, but an entertaining one.

Modern Hollywood versions, yes he is and it's not close.

Nobody compares to West, but to be fair to everyone else, his show was very tongue in cheek and the rest are playing it serious.

Disagree all you want. You're wrong. More so since WW has come out and we've seen her full power set. I think Patty Jenkins directed her a hell of a lot better than Zach Snyder, and I think Joss Whedon will do wonders for her too. Although, I'm not sure I need to see her bare feet...

Me too, doesn't mean it was good.

That's just bait and I'm not biting.

BatMans I would take over Affleck: Michael Keaton, Christian Bale, Val Kilmer, and Will Arnett.

What she did in that movie was not far from the WW movie.

You didn't bit over there either. And it's not bait. It's truth. I do not understand your love for that flat, predictable movie.

For the record, I watched the
Ultimate edition, not the original, and that seems to have improved the movie significantly based on that review.

Another opinion
[Ultimate] is the version that viewers should watch, since the thirty minutes of restored footage make an enormous difference in the overall quality of Snyder’s story and characters
