The dialogue seemed really forced and hokey.
However, I think even if Chris Claremont wrote and directed it people would still be disappointed.

They lost me when Logan said 'Don't get your panties in a bunch' The dialog got increasingly worse. The acting was wooden. It's a shame, they have some good actors on the cast. Too bad they don't know what to do with them. I wouldn't mind seeing Claremont write but not direct

Logan is witty at times, so that line doesn't bug me too much.
Now if he was cracking jokes like Spiderman or Deadpool, that would be too over the top.
