Regarding your editorial “Bonfire of the Academy” (Nov. 11): The editors lament the lack of “adult leadership” at today’s universities. It wasn’t always so. I was at MIT in the late 1960s, and we had our fair share of protests and sit-ins. Most dealt with the Vietnam War but there were other more mundane issues, like tuition increases. At one such protest, MIT Dean Kenneth Wadleigh showed up unexpectedly and delivered the line: “Anyone here five minutes from now won’t be here tomorrow.” It was refreshing to see how quickly the room emptied.

MIT is full of pussies and mentally inbred oligarchs who live so high up in their ivory towers that they can't see forests for trees.

Yoga is officially too hardcore for Canadian unis.
In an email exchange between Scharf and a representative of the university’s Student Federation -- which was viewed by the newspaper -- a student wrote that “while yoga is a really great idea and accessible and great for students... there are cultural issues of implication involved in the practice.
...
Student Federation Acting President Romeo Ahimakin told the Ottawa Sun that the class has been put on hold until a way can be figured out "to make it better, more accessible and more inclusive to certain groups of people that feel left out in yoga-like spaces.

“We are trying to have those sessions done in a way in which students are aware of where the spiritual and cultural aspects come from, so that these sessions are done in a respectful manner,” he added.

Suck ten thousand dicks, you PC prick.

That feeling of discomfort you have after listening to a sermon is called a conscience!

No, it's boredom ... or maybe your bullshit detector going off.
