I'm not playing any games. But before I left I was doing Beyond Earth, Rust, and Farmville.
Exactly, there's nothing else.
Rust is so damn far away from fulfilling it's potential. Farmville is a really competitive motherfucker though.
It's similar to the LoU game in that you build cities, raise armies, etc.
That game sucked. And still no real examples of what we're looking for which is pre-Trammel UO.
It just doesn't exist anymore and never will. No developer is going to make a game where people can lose everything giving them a reason to quit. They want you to continue playing as long as possible.
ArcheAge has a fuckton of flaws, but it's still the closest we're getting to those UO days right now.

I didn't play, but Catt backstabbing everybody and going to the other side is the most pre-trammel thing ever. Or maybe more EVE online?
Either way it's awesome.
Up there with Cake raging at Trooper for pking when we got his large farm through "borrowing" a trade pack from a guy.

I remember that guy being red though. So it was ok. He had killed a green and got his pack, then we killed him and got it. PKing reds is ok!
The meaningless death thing is why I like hitting the water and the east so much. You find people with packs in both areas. NOW you are being rewarded for your actions and victories. We could lose a boat, so there is our risk. Plus, there have been times where we would win a battle and secure packs only to lose them to another random red party who beats us up, or the original owners were able to scramble a response and take their stuff back. I don't lose gear, but we are fighting for something that has value. The winners actually get something. The random PvP in Hellswamp, etc, is ok. But it's as rewarding as TF2. You are just fighting for random victories. No rewards.
As far as Gordon playing. He won't have land, so he won't need a lot of LP. ALL of the gear I'm using I've gotten through the quests. So, all gear is free. You don't lose it. You can still make money doing trade packs by buying the items off the AH and running them for a profit. If he did want land, it's not that hard to get. I've secured land about 50% of the time I've tried. There really is no reason for him to not play. I think he just wants us to beg him.

Seriously. That's my point. Particularly with Travian, it was kill or be killed.
Probably more Eve Online.

I just don't have the available hours I would need.

Except, quitting your team and joining your enemy would have been like Troy leaving his guild and Joining TKV instead of fighting every night back in UO.

Probably right. Just keep spending your gaming hours playing LoL. Alone. By yourself. With no one else.

I play at most 3 games a night, less than an hour and a half. I usually don't play anything else, usually. If I show being in game longer than that on Steam, it is because I sometimes go afk with the client open for long periods.
Hour and a half a night isn't enough time to play archeage and be successful.

Define successful.
Being honest, you could play 90 minutes a night and easily get to the required level quickly and have some fun with us fighting reds. Like I said before, you can skip ALL the crafting stuff and you'd also be spending 0 dollars.
That being said, I would never hold it against you if you skipped ArcheAge. Nobody expects we'll be playing it next, and I'd be amazed if we made it to next spring.
And that stands for any game so long as you give it a chance, which is what we've all asked from one another through the years.
Although, you have to admit, I have tried to get you into ArcheAge and into other games, so please don't say things like, "I didn't quit the group, the group quit me" because that's clearly bullshit.
Gay.

Sweet. A new thread to pollute the general forum that's not general.

I have a new idea for a forum. Where we take all of Malcom's bitching posts and put them there.
So it'd just be ALL of Malcolm's posts, i guess.

90 minutes per night might be more than Stranger plays.

I'll be really pissed off if I drop everything else to take the time to get up to speed just as everybody gets tired of the game.

Yeah, I'd like to play more than I have the last week but it just hasn't worked out for me.
The thing I do like though is that I CAN log in for 30-60 mins and still get some farming done, post some items to the AH, do a short trade run and I can still be productive. The game can be played at your own pace and you don't have to grind if you don't feel like it.
