I actually have a Blizzard of '77 story. Leisher might as well. Thib's story would be something like, "Yeah alligator got into the well again that year and had babies."

When I was inChicago back in 99, it snowed almost 2 feet in one day.
The storm produced 55 centimetres (22 in) of snow in Chicago and was rated by the National Weather Service as the second worst blizzard to hit Chicago in the 20th century, behind the Blizzard of 1967. Soon after the snow ended, record low temperatures occurred with values of -20 degrees Fahrenheit (-29 degrees Celsius) or lower in parts of Illinois and surrounding states on January 3 and 4, including a handful of daily minimum temperatures around -50 degrees F (-45 degrees C) on the 4th in the area of heaviest accumulation.
It was pretty awesome/fun.

Another storm last night/today. I think this afternoon was the most snow I ever had to remove from my driveway in the last 8 years I have lived here. Places without drifts were 13 inches deep, drifts were up to 3 feet.

I think it is official that the NW Ohio area had more snow this January than any other on record.

The places in my parking lot where the plow puts the snow are at least as tall as I am.

East coast is about to get hammered again with ice and snow. I'm trying to fly home today from st Louis. We'll see how far I make it. So far my first two flights home have been canceled, and I'm on option #3. Which is the last possible option to get home today.

I went in to the office. Thankfully I decided to leave at noon. Was home maybe 30 minutes before it started snowing.

Still stuck.
Spent 10 hours at the airport from 4am to 2pm. We got scheduled on 1 flight to Charlotte, and it got delayed to 9am. Around 8am it got canceled, and we rebooked on another flight to Charlotte leaving at 11am. Around 1pm it got canceled too.
Let's try again tomorrow.

What in the name of Jeebus were you in St. Louis for? Nothing good comes from that berg.
