Well the TSA is gov run and incompetent. The security in Europe is run buy the airlines. Which would not surprise me that the airlines try to keep it cheap as hell to keep ticket prices down. People don't want full body scans. My idea is you surrender everything at the airport door. Down to here is your cloth to wear during the flight. Need to read have your reading request in before the flight. Need a laptop. Rent it from us.
That all will float like a lead balloon. So something has got to give. What is it to make the skies safe.

The agency said the investigation was “nearing a successful conclusion, and the subpoenas are no longer in effect.”
I'm sure there was no threat of further prosecution behind closed doors. Absolutely none at all.

The rail service will pay for hotel rooms for passengers who need them, and will offer refunds on a case-by-case basis.

I heard allot about it on the news. The guy who waited for the security man to turn his head so he could sneak into the terminal. They shut the whole place down for hours. Did they ever do anything to the cocksucker?

A buddy of mine that works for the TSA informed me of his theory about those full-body scanners. While they're not the law of the land right now, his guess is that once they're "voluntarily" in place at all the airports in the U.S., they'll magically become mandatory.
If that shit happens, I'm not flying again unless my destination is so mind-numbingly relaxing & tempting that it distracts me from the clusterfuck that is airport security. Fuck the TSA, fuck the FAA, fuck the DHS, fuck the airlines. I'll wait till flying cars are the norm.

The Department of Homeland Security received a nearly 3 percent boost in discretionary funding, to $43.6 billion, in President Obama's 2011 budget request.
Because I guess they need to be rewarded for the banner year they had in '09 as far as efficiency, customer satisfaction, & security go.
and $734 million to deploy up to 1,000 whole-body-imaging scanners at airports that use radio or X-rays to detect objects hidden beneath clothing.
Fuck you.
The Obama administration and its predecessor for years have proposed increasing a per-ticket airline passenger security fee to raise more than $1 billion, but this year's budget does not specifically outline such a fee.
Double fuck you.
