Movie question:

Have you guys watched the D+ "What If?" show? Is there any crossover there?

My own mother called me a slut once. True story.

That series absolutely plays off of everything that has happened in the MCU. However, the entire concept of "What If?" is about the multiverse and how in other realities things don't play out the same as they do in the 616 (Marvel's primary reality). Does anything there tie into what you'll see on screen in this movie?

Yes, but not for the main movie. The post credits scene has a quick "Oh shit" that was a main character in that show...people think...it does make a LOT of sense and looks like them.

For those curious about the midcredits scene:
That was obviously Eddie Brock and Venom, but his universe is different from the MCU. However, Venom left behind a tiny little baby, which means the MCU now has Venom, but it will be someone else in the suit/alien.

80% full theater Christmas day. This film is making bank.

I liked it. Kid is meh, but has been on the MCU since Endgame.

Kind of a bummer ending.

The ending was a bummer, yes, but also perfect.
That IS Spider-Man. Broke, without any close friends/support system, no tech, but tons of heart and a ridiculously high sense of responsibility.

A kid's bright future destroyed, and JJJ had a hand in that.

He was a straight villain in this, as opposed to a crank.

My kid found a mistake. Concerning Eddie Brock:

People who knew PP was Spiderman were pulled into this universe. EB knew none of that.

Did you get how JJJ is a shot at Alex Jones? Also, yes. In the books JJJ is an absolute dick to Spider-Man and his whole career is about painting him as a bad guy. In fact, Spidey has absolutely gone off the rails on JJJ from time to time out of anger.

Explaination started there. Think the Borg, but across space-time.

I submit that once JJJ knew SM was a kid, that changes things a bit in terms of "gotta sell advertisements on my media platform." That's all he seemed to be about in the other iterations of SM. In this, he's targeting a kid.

No, we have'nt seen Venom 2.

Discussion on the cameo:

Matt Murdock sees in "a world of fire" or however he described it in the show. He sees vibrations coming off of everything for his locational awareness.

You think he could tell Peter Parker wasn't human? PP has hulk strength, that has to make him look super dense or something.

Edit - oh wait, MM already knew PP was Spiderman because of JJJ.
Nevermind

Look at all those repeated letters.
