Who knows. They're all trying to control us.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence...

Brits were asked, "If we joined the U.S., where would we rank in income per person?" They guessed they'd be the 7th state in the rankings.

They were slightly off...

I would guess 47th or so.

Well, I was close :)

That being said, GDP isn't exactly the same thing.

Absolutely.

I originally saw an Englishman I follow post about it. He's a frequent U.S. visitor and says the UK has the same perception of say, Arkansas, that most Americans do: poor backwoods hillbillies. Because of that, he found this story to be quite funny.

It doesn't matter if you agree with him or not. This guy's on the spot speech is more on point and well said than our politicians' prepared speeches.

Also, he's right. Governments around the world are completely failing their people by focusing on global horseshit, and immigration without assimilation will never have a happy ending.

Cousin marriage is not incest. And I don't just say that cuz I live in the South. It's legal in lots of places. I dunno, I just don't care.

I laughed.

We could debate the "incest" part, but there's no debating the genetics. I know of exactly one couple consisting of first cousins that are married and of their three kids, one is normal, one is...different, and the third has massive disabilities that basically make her a lifelong infant. Plus, as the speaker in the video says, there issues become worse with each generation.

There's a difference between a single cousin marriage, and repeated cousin marriage. If they have good genes, it doesn't matter that they are first cousins. Heck, the family next to us aren't related, but turns out they had a 25% chance of each kid having some developmental issue where they are basically children their whole lives, susceptible to lots of diseases, and their brains don't fully develop. Their first kid had it, lived 14 years, but never grew out of diapers, and was more like a 16 month old mentally.

It compounds if there are bad genes. If there are not, then it doesn't. People always look at the Hapsburgs, but yeah, they had bad some genes.

Bad genes definitely play a role. Hell, we're all technically related. Everyone IS cousins, it just becomes a matter of how far removed.

Typically, any biologist would tell you that mating couples need to be somewhat removed. There's far more of a chance for bad things when you "keep it in the family" than not.

Apparently, some vote took place in England tonight that saw Starmer's party get routed and now he's considering calls to step down.

Regarding legalizing it, half the comments said it's already legal and the vote was against a law that made it illegal. Which, while still not good, is better than having it all of the sudden become legal.
