I'll just have to head to the assembly line and touch each Porsche as it leaves.

Ha! I think I just found my side hustle. Garages could pay me to walk around mall parking lots touching various cars.

Nick's right. Prices continue to be near record highs, meanwhile interest rates are double what they were in the latest housing boom.

And let's not forget that the COL is insane across the board right now, and jobs are disappearing thanks to AI and Wall St.

If you want to sell, you need to drop those prices. If you wanted top dollar, you should have sold a few years ago.

Seeing the good in bad, we all were in alignment in 2020!

Seriously though, you can't be shocked by that. If a D tells an R that the sky is blue the R will say it's actually green, and vice versa. We are as divided as we've ever been since the Civil War.

The bad part of this division is that it's all been crafted. The MSM and Social Media are nothing more than ways for each party to push its narrative, and most people are too dumb or trusting to see through it. They've also been conditioned to believe the other side is pure evil. Hell, I don't even fully believe that graph because I know how pollsters select whom to question and it's like how a lawyer selects a jury. I know a whole lot of people, and I don't know a single middle class person (see how I'm purposely excluding the ultrarich...Catt ) who has thought the economy was great since 2020.

The good part is the true cultists are a small percentage. Most people all want the same things and really only disagree on the path to get there.

As for the graph itself, nobody should have had any faith in the economy going back to 2020. The housing market has been completely frozen, and the COL has skyrocketed. Meanwhile wages aren't doing shit and jobs are disappearing, never to return. What's the good part? Oh yeah, the rich have gotten richer. Great.

I have no idea why Rs are claiming the economy is good right now aside from "my side is winning".

Ds are claiming it's the worst EVAH because TDS is real and all of their grifts being exposed... (Third joke this morning alone. I'm in a rare good mood!)

Seriously though, politics aside, this country needs an enema in the worst way to completely shift the how the economy operates. It's either that or 1 of 2 things is going to happen: Civil War 2 or morons are going to elect Socialists. We've already seen examples of both happening, so which one goes national first?

Stupid people being elected happens first. Hell, it's already happening. There won't be a civil war because there's not enough extremists for it to catch on. Most people don't want to go to war, so there won't be enough people on either side participating for it to become anything.

Well, i mean, how can they measure that? How much did companies save with AIs help? How many processes sped up? How much waste was eliminated?

That's exactly the things they were measuring. You can find the longer article elsewhere.

And then there's this:

Jobs are NEVER coming back.

Time for every one to get service jobs catering to the rich.

Once again, unions and people with no skills demanding that they price themselves out of jobs. Those jobs don't warrant high pay. When you demand it, then other things that were normally too expensive are able to replace you. Your poor life choices shouldn't make the stuff I want more expensive!

Either humanity peaked in the late 80s-early 90s or we're currently in a "Great Filter" moment.

How we come out of this ridiculously divided world where everyone is going to be seeking new purpose as careers become a thing of the past will determine if man will continue to evolve or go extinct.

Demand is down at a record pace and falling. Meanwhile, prices are still near record highs and interest rates are climbing.

Looks like.... noise. But if people need to sell, prices will adjust. Honestly, the market looks pretty typical, in the context of all those decades of history. Bigger question is why things took off so much in 2000s.

It's not noise per every other economic expert not named Catt :D

I think it's yet another sign that we're about to hit a turning point.

The American Dream is dead. It was killed by the American Dream.

Want more housing? Make it easier to build. The end. I'm talking to you, almost every city and state in America.

There are also only so many builders. There are some areas where all of the builders that service that area are booked for the next two years. And because the supply of builders is low, the price for new houses is high. We were talking to builders right before COVID hit. We were getting prices of about $150-200 per square foot. Then COVID/Supply hit and the prices went up to $300+. Because materials went way up, etc. Materials are back down, but prices are still $300+ because people still want houses and are paying that price. Builders are making a KILLING right now.

I believe the demand is still there and that chart is bullshit. At least in the area we want to build in.

Make it easier to build, the builders will come back.

I mean, aside from their illegal labor being gone.

Although, a recent article about the immigration crackdown showed how even legal immigrants didn't want to work construction due to raids picking them up as well, and the obscene amount of time it takes to get released, even if legal.
