I did grad work in computer security for a reason. I really, really won't want to have to dust off that knowledge to surf the web on a daily basis. If the feds wage a cyber war on the citizens, they'll lose big and bad.

A bill that would redefine a full-time work week under the Affordable Care Act as 40 hours instead of 30 actually amounts to a break for corporations, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) argued in a hearing Thursday.

"Big corporations would get to cut health benefits for millions of workers, and push people out of their employer insurance plans. Some of those people will lose their health insurance all together. Others would be pushed onto federal programs, expanding the reach of Obamacare, and taxpayers would get stuck with the tab."
"I'm against adding $53 billion to the deficit so that corporations can push their costs and responsibilities onto the government," Warren added.
Because once you push responsibility onto government, shit never gets done.

Obama's been trying to change course on Cuba negating policies put in place since what, Kennedy?
The MSM has mostly been giving him public handjobs for the move, but today the other shoe is dropping.
Cuban President Raul Castro demanded on Wednesday that the United States return the U.S. base at Guantanamo Bay, lift the half-century trade embargo on Cuba and compensate his country for damages before the two nations re-establish normal relations.
I guess it's the thought that counts.

No, it means many of the workers that had their hours cut to 29.5 per week would be able to go back to working 39.5 hours per week and make more money. At least where I work that was the big impact of Obamacare; we didn't suddenly start handing out health care to part-time instructors, we cut them back and hired more of them to take up the slack.

President Barack Obama used the unveiling of his nearly $4 trillion fiscal 2016 budget on Monday to sharply challenge congressional Republicans to approve funding for the Homeland Security Department
Fuck that department.

DHS currently employs around 230,000 individuals. The 30,000 who would be furloughed would primarily be administrative staff.
Because GOD FUCKING FORBID someone's not there to yell at people in airports to remove their shoes.

I'm kind of proud to say I have stuck to my guns on my airplane boycott. I did the "shoes and belt off" exactly once in about 2005, and decided I could not suck that particular dick again.
It's the people that tolerate it that are the problem.
