I think a lot of these guys came to realize that voting no was probably career suicide.

Woman lives in Florida, has her house in Florida, ran for the Senate in Idaho 2 years ago (voting from Florida in that election), is registered as a real estate agent in Florida, her last sales were all in Florida, but claims to live in NC (has a UPS post box in Charlotte as her 'address'). Her cars are registered in Florida.

Maybe this is for the moron thread, but JFC.Under questioning from the elections board members, Dupre said she doesn’t have a North Carolina driver’s license. She added that she also never got an Idaho driver’s license when she claimed her residence there and ran for Senate in 2024.
“It's always based in Florida,” she said. “I've always kept my Florida license.”
State law requires people who move to North Carolina to get a new license within 60 days but Dupre said someone at the DMV told her it would take a year for her to get a license. She has not attempted to make an appointment, she said.

I hate this shit.
Every city, town, state, and federal representative should live in the _____ they represent. No exceptions. It's fine to vacation elsewhere and maintain residences elsewhere, but the majority of your time should be the place you were elected to represent. Not doing so should disqualify you from running for office there, and be grounds to have you removed from office.
I'd go so far as to say there should be a requirement that the person's primary resident must have been the place in question for 3 years prior.
This same thing just happened in CA last year. I forget the whole story, it's here somewhere, but Newsome appointed a woman (or endorsed her?) to fill a seat that opened up (Was it the one that died? Feinstein?). The problem was that the woman lived in Maryland and had never even lived in CA or something like that.
There are tons of local government scandals about this very thing too. It's happen a lot here in the local D stronghold where city officials often live in the suburbs and not the city proper. It gives them financial and personal incentive to put their neighborhood's interests over that of the city they represent.

I have seen that or one very similar before. I don't remember all the arguments that tear apart their results, but there were several. However, without getting into a debate about the validity of these numbers or even how useless they are, I'll give you two better reponses:
1. Cool. Now do socialism and communism.
2. Does the left do anything better than the right?

I don't think that's exactly how that works, but I could be wrong.“I made a mistake, and I had a lapse in judgment and there was a lack of faith. And I take full responsibility for those actions,” the Texas Republican said during an appearance on The Joe Pags Show, a conservative talk show. “Since then, I’ve reconciled with my wife, Angel. I’ve asked God to forgive me, which he has. And my faith is as strong as ever.”

A real religious answer would be that, if he has indeed asked for forgiveness, and meant it (this is the part people don't get), he will be forgiven. However, he does have to change his ways and atone...or something.
A non-religious answer would be if his wife forgives him, it's not our business. The affair being with a staffer IS our business. If he abuses his power for pussy, what other lines will he cross?

“I came to a spot that was a dead end but had two big vent covers over it! It just so happened it overlooked the showers! I sat there for about an hour and watched as several girls came in and showered,” Robinson wrote on Nude Africa.
CNN is not publishing the graphic sexual details of Robinson’s story.
“I went peeping again the next morning,” Robinson wrote. “but after that I went back the ladder was locked! So those two times where [sic] the only times I got to do it! Ahhhhh memories!!!!”
In other comments on Nude Africa, Robinson discussed his affinity for transgender pornography.
“I like watching tranny on girl porn! That’s f*cking hot! It takes the man out while leaving the man in!” Robinson wrote. “And yeah I’m a ‘perv’ too!”
He finally admits it.

I'm torn on that one.
Adults should not have to hide their kinks as long as they aren't hurting other people, which includes forcing others to engage in role play...
However, I don't think the public needs to know about it.

I think if you're running for public office as a conservative, values-driven Christian, then, yeah, the public deserves to know about your hypocrisy.

Re: The Republican Party
I'm just pointing out that there's layers.
To your point:
If someone runs on a platform of "All trannies are evil", but gets off on tranny porn in private, then yes, there's an issue (Is that what he did?). I cannot place the name, but there was an R senator who was a big time mouthpiece against gays back in the 80s or 90s who got caught engaging in gay sex. There are currently female politicians that happen to be Muslim who make promises about female empowerment and equality.
Those things are hypocritical and voters should know because it shows what they do and say are two different things.
I was going down the path of "if it's not in their campaign, it's not an issue and nobody's business".

Re: The Republican Party
Damn you for making me google "hotwifing"...
Also, fuck whoever came up with that bullshit. They just renamed cuckolding. Fucking own your kink, don't try to give it a more PR friendly name. Next thing you know, furries will start calling their kink "animal magnetism"...
I stand by my theory that a lot of modern men are drawn to cuckolding because testosterone levels are down, and the proliferation of porn is raising generations of men who watch women get fucked by other men constantly, thus it becomes their thing.

The definition of cuckolding:TheCatt wrote: Wed Apr 01, 2026 10:39 am It's voluntary cuckolding. So I guess it needed a new phrase?
I don't agree with the historical context. I know it's true, but that's just cheating. I have always seen cuckolding as where the husband is aware, whether he likes it or not.Cuckolding is a sexual fetish or kink where one partner (typically the husband/male) experiences arousal from their romantic partner having sex with someone else. Historically, it referred to a husband deceived by an unfaithful wife, but modern usage often involves consensual, consensual non-monogamous scenarios.
Fine, I'll accept that it needed a new phrase, but I disagree with "hotwifing". That's far too nice to the guy, and probably not very accurate about the wife... They should call it "soon to be divorced" because that's usually where this leads. If the wife is attractive, I assure you the bull is going to be reaching out to her when the cuck isn't around.
Speaking of, a co-worker just told me Noem was having an affair, which makes total sense. I expect she knew about her husband's kinky ways and it going public will be her way to exit the marriage.
