I JUST watched a montage of his recent stuff on Trump.

I feel like he let his guests(women) would hit Trump the hardest on women. He ran wild with the rest of it, though. Plenty of material to go around.

I just don't understand why humor gets you a free pass to push a specific agenda of propaganda.
Really? Because I'm primarily tuning in to see if he's entertaining. That's my standard for watching an entertainer.
We've all condemned folks like George Clooney for Oliver's level of smugness and condescension, but apparently it's because his message didn't have jokes.
You're halfway correct. When George gets his own talk show and writing staff, then does bits like this, he'll get the same pass. Sorry the right is presently too lazy, confused, self-destructive, repulsive, and reeling from watching the shittiest candidate piss away their chances right down the toilet to convince Dennis Miller it's time to come out of retirement with his own 30-minute cable news parody. I sure as hell can't think of anyone else who'd have a shot.
In related news, does anyone watch Bill Maher? Has he been bashing Trump's comments on women? If so, I'd love to know what he said because that's a guy with a history of treating women with disrespect.
Hell, I saw him in person a couple weeks ago. Yet again, the bar is entertainment.

Confused old man rants as his ass is getting handed to him.
The Pew report focused on technical inefficiencies in our voting system rather than actual fraud. It found that 24 million voter registrations in the United States are either invalid or have significant inaccuracies, 2.75 million people are registered in more than one state, 12 million records have the wrong address, and almost 2 million deceased individuals are still on the rolls. These problems are attributed to outdated registration systems rather than chicanery, however, and their proposed solutions are practical rather than alarmist, including cross-referencing registration lists, improving techniques for spotting out-of-date records, and allowing voters to register online.
Reality TV Party Senators getting destroyed by their opponents.
In their Oct. 10 debate, McCain (Ariz.) didn't really have an answer for why, as his opponent, Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick (D) pointed out, he had endorsed Trump more than 60 times — then pulled the plug this month after the hot-mic tape was reported.
...
In Monday's Pennsylvania Senate debate, Toomey was asked by the moderator three times to give a “yes or no” answer on whether he would support Trump for president.

Three times, Toomey dodged.

“I have not reached a point where I can endorse Donald Trump, because I have so many concerns about his candidacy,” he finally said, later adding: “At some point” he “probably will” say for whom he's going to vote, “but there is more ethics we need to talk about.”
...
In his debate Friday, one of the Senate's most vulnerable incumbents, Ron Johnson (Wis.), wouldn't say Trump's name in his debate with former senator Russ Feingold (D). Seriously. Johnson's response to whether he'd continue to support Trump despite the The Tape ™ is 72 words long, with not one mention of the GOP nominee's name
Trump supporters ready to battle Frankenstein.
Clarke says the scandal has only galvanized Trump's supporters.

"We’re in such a lewd place now with this campaign. It sickens the American people," Clarke told Mike Gousha Sunday on Madison, Wisconsin, TV station WKOW. "[The tape scandal has] rallied his base, including women who support Trump. They came out swinging, came out with pitchforks and torches to support their candidate.

All 2 million of those dead people are registered in Chicago.

I find it hard to attribute to secret cabals and X-Files-style conspiracies what is most likely caused by simple, albeit rampant, stupidity.

I probably count as one of those "wrong address" records. I no longer have a mailing address. I put my physical address in when registering, but the card they mail would have bounced back to them and presumably would count as bad. But I and that address are legit regardless.

Fucking mark your calendars. Donnie Dickweed the Dense Dipshit Douchebag, finally said something I might have his back on.
At a second rally in Colorado, Mr. Trump added specificity, saying he would limit House lawmakers to three terms, or six years, and senators to two terms, or 12 years.
We should at least have new corrupt assholes every so often instead of the same ones. This idea isn't 100% horrible, so I can only assume it's not his. Anyhow, that brief respite of sanity was brought to you by the 24-7 psychosis of Cheeto's Folly.
"Even though we're doing pretty well in the polls, I don't believe the polls anymore," Trump said Tuesday during a rally here.

Not only is that the only productive thing he's ever said, it's actually making me consider whether or not that single promise is worth my vote.

It doesn't matter, because the time has come for a female president.

Sadly, that's how a lot of people vote.

It's not a promise he can deliver. It would take Congress to do it, and I can't see them working with him on anything for any reason. And certainly not working with him to limit their own power.

OK, so what if we did have term limits? What, we get fewer politicians and more Trumps?

Without question.

However, you'd hope that it would also mean less corruption, new ideas, harder to pass bullshit, etc.

There's a congresswoman around here named Marcy Kaptur who won her office by attacking how long her opponent had been in the office. "7 terms is too long for any politician to be in office" was her famous quote. She's now in her 8th term...

Personally, the one change I'd make immediately, more so than term limits, is one item per bill. No more riders. I realize riders speed up the process, but these pricks shouldn't have 200 days off. Get in there and debate the issues publicly.

Why would they make any changes to give themselves more work, and less likely to prosper financially while in office? They write the rules, fuck you.

Convention of states. At the mock trial run they passed an amendment to limit congressional and senate terms.

Between this and this...
it's actually making me consider whether or not that single promise is worth my vote.
I have to wonder if you've started hitting the hookah bar on your lunch breaks. Less corruption? Hah. Less bullshit? No chance.
No more riders.
Will never happen.

Will happen less often than the "no riders" idea.
They write the rules, fuck you.
If only the morons from their respective districts stopped putting them in office.
