She's now got a 75% fail rate. I bought 6, 2 came from the "guaranteed female" bin, the others were in the straight run bins, but she said she knew the difference.

Next time flip a coin. Your odds are way better.

I meant I bought 6, and 4 were ones she guessed at. Three of those were male. 75% fail rate.

Yeah, as in "not beating random chance at 50%." Flip a coin, it's more accurate and cheaper.

Once upon a time, we had unexpected baby rabbits (we adopted a rabbit from a rescue shelter, it gave birth the next day). I sexed the babies, and there were 3 females and 1 male.
Our vet (a rabbit specialist) then came, and sexed them, and found 2 males and 2 females.
They got a little older... 3 females, 1 male.
Who did the sexing? I mean, sounds like they just gave you random chickens.

G seems like the sort that would sexx0r his chickens personally.

The bin said "straight run" which means that everything that hatched went in there. The employee "Young Ashley," as I call her, said she was a farm girl and knew what she was doing... a way you hold them and males act like *this,* but females act like *that.*
The other day when I went in to get another bag of feed and I thought I only had 1 rooster I went in there and told her she did a pretty good job, only 1 out of 4 was male. She started telling me about how another way to sex them was to put a metal washer on a string, dangle it in front of the chick's head, and if it swings north to south....
I stopped listening right there. Young Ashley is a moron.
Eventually I got to thinking about their "straight run" bins. If I am the 10th customer that goes in there to buy 6 chicks, then chances are that bin holds a different ratio of 1:1 girls:boys. There will be way more boys in the bin by the time I get there. So.... you know. It's a bad bet.
I found a place online that sends you mail order chicks, and claims to have a 95% sexing success rate, and refunds your money for mistakes. I'll be hitting them in the Spring, instead.

You vent them, that's the only way to do it. Stupid cunt. I hope she dies.

I don't hope death upon her, she's physically attractive so she has value outside of her poor chicken sexing skills.

God and randomness seems to be batting 100% though.

6 more chicks just shipped to me.
Looking at the 3 dozen eggs I currently have in the fridge, I am regretting expanding my flock at this time. When they are all fully armed and operational I'll be getting 7 or 8 eggs every day.

Nice. Eggs are yum, and great for any meal of the day.

Drinks with egg yolks. Start developing some new tastes. As for the whites, they're supposed to be great workout fuel.

Tracking shows my new chicks will probably be here in the morning. Sigh.

You got plenty of ways to process and use eggs. I'd be mixing whites and maybe a yolk or two into the daily soylent if I had a steady supply.

Get a better class of escorts and they'll show up the same day. When do your chickens arrive?
