City Councilman Larry Sykes says he was racially profiled and stopped by a Toledo Police officer. It allegedly happened April 25 after 9pm when he was leaving an event. His license plate reads 4DRWBLK which stands for "4 driving while black." He was stopped by a new police officer. TPD is investigating. There's dash cam video of the incident. The video can't be released until the investigation is finished. The video will allow citizens to determine if Sykes was a victim of racial profiling. More tonight on 13abc Action News.

Meanwhile, after an investigation and a scathing two page article written by Larry Sykes, it has been discovered that he is full of shit. I know it's shocking that a guy whose license plate displays his bigotry would be found to be inventing a story about racism. He's been asking to step down by two of the bigger labor unions in Toledo. So far, he's refusing.
