Banks become interesting when you're swapping guns. Ultimately, every character in your account has access to everyone else's guns once you reach Sanctuary.

Sanctuary flew up... two different missions: 1 is optional, the waves and waves of bandits in the arena. The other was those damned crystal looking monsters, and then trying to get through the eridium refinery.
Ah, the circle of slaughter in solo mode. That'll be interesting.

Definitely better with a friend(s).
Fire would help since there are no robots or fire based baddies.
Try to move a lot. Use your turret as much as possible. If you're facing big Goliaths make sure there are easier enemies nearby you can get a second wind off of...
The other was those damned crystal looking monsters
The big ones with three legs, and each leg has a golden crystal? They're super easy to defeat. Hint: Use melee attacks.

Yeah, I figured it out tonight when I was going through the hole where Sanctuary used to be. I wouldn't say super easy, since Im so fragile... I ran into 5 of them at once in one place. Took my time and got through them, but damn it took a while.
Haven't gone back to the arena yet, but I burned a couple golden keys so I've got better weapons now.
You know that big hole where Sanctuary used to be?
Jump into it. Seriously.

You know what's hard without backup? Caustic Caverns.
Human enemies come at you, and are predictable. The Vorkids, Spiderants, and tentacles come from every direction, and there's a lot of them.

If you're solo'ing the arena, enrage the goliaths so they take out things for you.

Didn't realize just how much those melee attacks helped on the legs. That's a whole different world. I was wondering why they put such a hard to kill monster in.
Caustic Caverns wasn't god awful, but man it took me a while. I think I spent 2 hours going through the missions there last night. Lots of running, turreting, regenning, etc. Died 1x.
Did you listen to the ECHO recordings in the cave? I thought they mentioned something about the critters being fragile.

Well, in retrospect, it kinda rang a bell, but I'm not very good at paying attention to words when being attacked at the same time.
Then you know what you need to work on to get better...
I usually don't pick up mission items until I've cleared an area just so I can hear the story.
As Gordo pointed out, he missed the Butt Stallion conversation, and I was pissed that everyone in my group missed "At the sound of Henshaw screaming in agony, it will be 2:30."
