You know what I'm talking about? Americans definitely had a different kind of accent 70 years ago. I was listening to NPR recently; they were interviewing Once-a Week Shower people and I thought, "God these people have the most annoying accents." It's not really an improvement, in my book.
So many people? these days? talk like they're asking a question? even though? they're not?

It was a woman...some kind of Jewish Priestess. Now, I didn't listen to much (maybe any) NPR coverage of Tea Party events. But I was rather astonished at this piece on the Once/Week Shower people: they had this Jewish Priestess explain the parallels between OWS and Sukkot, and how the people there had built a sukkah, and all kinds of wonderful religious stuff.
Just FYI: if you think Leftism is NOT a religious movement, you're wrong. It's Unitarianism: a universal religion scrubbed (as much as can be) of Deity. I mean, what do you think Harvard IS? It's a seminary, and it always HAS been.
