Watchmen

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

You see his dick at some point in the comic but to be honest I can live with people not being 100% faithful to the comic if it means I don't have to see blue dick. Or dick of any color for that matter.

Exactly my point.

Leave it to lawyers to fuck something up. And then we turn around and elect them to run the country.

And wonder why it's fucked up.

By "deal" I can only assume they really mean "both companies realized that releasing the film was more profitable for both of them as opposed getting in a legal pissing match."

Someone that's read the series and seen the movie needs to open a new spoiler thread so I can get their thoughts.

1. I was very conscious during the extended sex scene, and the numerous, graphic, bloody killings that there were 2 4 year old kids directly beside me. I gave them my Watchman posters the theater was handing out. I hope that little act of kindness helps the emotional scars their parents gave them by dragging them to this rated R movie, heal.

2. Got some good trailers. I'd never seen one for the next Transformers movie... from what I saw there will be an even higher body count... I wonder if it will be watered down to a PG like the first movie. "Observe and Report" looked funny. Finally saw that Star Trek trailer on the big screen. And one for the "Haunting in Connecticut" movie. That's when I first started feeling bad for the kids next to me. It looks like I am going to enjoy Tarentino's "Inglorious Bastards," or, "Kill Adolph Volume 1."

3. Saw this flick on an "Imax" screen. "Imax" is in quotes because... fuck... it really wasn't much bigger than a regular screen. I heard the same comments from people around me. They had signs at the box office stating "Due to the popularity of the movie, no refunds will be given for Imax screenings of Watchmen." $14 per ticket, matinee price. Due to the full theater a lot of people got stuck in the front row; I feel bad for them. And even though the screen wasn't full Imax size, NO REFUNDS.

Oh well. Fool me once.

I think I liked this move better than Dark Knight.

After holding out forever, I finally watched this film and I enjoyed it just enough. It does drift from the comic, but not enough to make a federal issue out of it.

James Earl Haley was great and the "You don't get it, I'm not locked in here with you...You're locked in here with me." (Yes, it was in the book.) line is one of the best in movie history.

Overall, worth seeing at least once.
